Bible and Blog

Thank you for viewing the internet ministry of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  It is our desire to reach people with Gospel of Jesus Christ, and help them grow closer to Him in their walk with Him.  For the next several weeks our pastor will 'Bible and Blog,' or post a portion of Scripture to read at the beginning of the week, and then some thoughts that pertain to it at the end.

This week's portion of Scripture is the parable of "The Wheat and The Tares." Please remember that this weekly reading should NOT take the place of your church attendance, OR you own daily Bible reading. It is to be used in addition to them. If you were hungry you would not just swallow a spoonfull of salt would you? NO! But you might add some to your meal.  Your church attendance and daily Bible reading is the meal-this is just the salt.

Reading: Matthew 13:31-32, "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which in deed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof:"
